The Dress

Soft, lustrous silk satin hang from ultra-thin straps and emphasise even the slightest feminine curves, while never revealing too much. This simple asymmetrical ivory gown is trimmed with extravagant satin-covered buttons down the back for a little extra retro glam.

My dream dress. Too beautiful to stay in my closet and deserves another day out!
Classic with a modern twist. Fit like a dream and it was so comfortable. Bias cut luminous fabric which hangs just right without being tight or restrictive. I loved that I could wear a strapless bra as it was a mid back.

In really great condition - impeccably professionally dry cleaned with no marks or stains. Worn for approximately 4 hours and then I changed into a shorter dress after our first dance.
All flaws, although minor pictured for transparency. Some chipping of paint on the zip which I think would be an easy fix with replacement of the zip handle or touch up with paint. Some loosening of stitching on the hem where I had an alteration done which would be a minor fix for a seamstress.

Custom size ~8-10, taken in by seamstress so more like a size 8 now.
I am 5 foot 6, wore 10cm heels.

Alterations

Upon the recommendation of my seamstress I had the straps changed from the slight V of the original dress to come straight down the back, and had the hem split at the front so that the dress hung better. I added a silk loop to the underside of the back of the dress so that I could lift the train however this could be removed if desired. I also had it taken in slightly at the waist and hips.
